Control boxes TM96 and TM07 from Tecnologie Meccaniche are devices approved by the Italian Railway Network to control the position of the points of the switches.
The control boxes are inserted in the switches in combination with a switch, stop and needle control device and are used to constantly check the correct position of the needles.
The functions they perform can be of two types: control of the needle position or control of the needle inclination.
The “/2” version simultaneously controls two needle positions (stopped or deflected) and has different uses depending on how it is inserted into the switch control circuit.
In particular:
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted into the needle frame of “mechanically tiltable L63 type” systems.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the needle frame of “mechanically tiltable L88 type” machines.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the needle frame of the “mechanically tilting P64” type machines.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the movable core of the “SO6A and B” type machines.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the movable core of the “SO7A and B” type machines.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the movable core of the “SO8A and B” type machines.
It performs the Tilt Control function if inserted in the movable core of the “SO5 B” type machines.
It performs the Position/Tilt Control function if inserted in the movable core of the “SO5 A” type machines.
