The 3kVdc 3kAcc 3kVdc disconnecting set is an electromechanical set designed and developed by Tecnologie Meccaniche and intended to disconnect the catenary of 3kVdc lines.
It is an unique product in terms of performance, including: very low contact impedance (<50mOhm), fast operation (<100ms), high isolation at disconnection distance (>60kV in dry air), high resistance to atmospheric impulse (>150kV), very high RMS short-circuit current (>40kA) and equally high peak short-circuit current (>70kA).
At the mechanical level, the system compensates for thermal expansion by stabilizing the kinematic response of the system over the entire operating temperature range. The location of the operating device at the base of the support pole allows easy access for maintenance and emergency manual operation.
The oleodynamic drive system is supplied in two versions: “excitation” (operation in the presence of the electric control) and “de-excitation” (operation in the event of interruption of the electric control) to be compatible with all systems currently installed on Italian railway lines.
